The first aim of the project was to develop and implement a framework for the delivery of patient care, which would incorporate physical, psychological, social and emotional assessment. A further aim was to facilitate continuity of care across the treatment trajectory by enhancing communication between nursing specialities.

  • An Improved Nursing Model for Breast Cancer Patients - A project to identify and implement a more appropriate model of nursing to inform the care of breast cancer patients was carried out on the Breast Care Unit of Leeds General Infirmary. The aims and philosophy of the unit are to provide a sensitive environment for women with breast disease and their families.
