Self Transcendence

She pioneered research on
spirituality in nursing and has also researched mental
health problems in adults and elders using Martha
Rogers' conceptual model and lifespan developmental
theory to provide the conceptual perspective. Her
"Spiritual Perspective Scale" and "Self-Transcendence
Scale" are widely used by researchers. Most recently,
her scholarly work has focused on philosophy of
nursing and the development of the discipline.
